About Smallholder producers of Colombia
A great decaf starts with great coffee, and this one is stellar, thanks to six smallholder producers in the Nariño region pooling their harvests to total enough coffee to offer as a stellar regional blend. Leonela Rivera, Yon Fredy Hernandez, Jaiber Joven Murcia, Edilma Quinayas, Carmen San Juan and Aliro Muñoz each brought something special to the table, and all share a level of quality that is rare when compared to the neighboring farms.
Each producer approaches coffee in a different way: some organic by choice and others go organic due to lack of resources, but all carry a level of responsibility for the earth and ecologically sustainable production. Dapper & Wise paid these producers a minimum of 1.3 million pesos/carga in local currency, which is about twice the market rate.

Dapper & Wise
In 2013, Insomnia's owners Evan Aldrete and Tyler Geel launched Dapper & Wise as a tasting room and roasting facility in Portland's Western suburbs, and by 2014, as a wholesaler as well.
Based out of Hillsboro, Oregon, Evan and Tyler work with a stellar team, all of whom are dedicated to the values that undergird Dapper & Wise: “We want people to walk through our doors and feel welcome. We want people to taste our coffee and be impressed and inspired. We want the coffee we roast to exemplify the hard work of the producers that grow it.”
