About Area Producers of Brazil
Nestled on the Pedra Branca mountainside is an innovative coffee mill that bears the mountain's name. Before Beneficio Pedra Branca was built, coffee growers in this area were limited in their ability to have their coffees fully assessed for quality due to a lack of knowledge, time, budget, and infrastructure. Without these, they couldn't process their coffees to meet specialty coffee standards. Enter Beneficio Pedra Branca. Accessible, with modern equipment for washing and processing, the mill enables producers to see their crops reach full potential.
Pedra Branca currently serves about 600 farmers. In addition to wet mill and washing and sorting machines, the Beneficio gives growers access to innovative technology including multiple drying methods such as covered patios, drying greenhouses, mechanical dryers, and African drying beds.
