Coffee Description
From the first delicious whiff of floral and berry to fruit-forward notes of raspberry, blueberry, and apricot jam, this classic offering just continues to deliver. Creamy body and sweet nuttiness undergird jam-like acidity: “...a bit like drinking blueberry pie.” Juicy berries dominate, with black tea and apricot notes in the rounded finish.

About Ibrahim Hussein of Ethiopia
Ibrahim Hussein came by his passion for coffee naturally. One day ca. 1930, his grandfather walked from Wollo to Limu to begin growing coffee. He passed his farm to his son, Ibrahim’s father, but ultimately the Mengistu regime confiscated every coffee farm in the country, including theirs. However, the regime eventually gave way to the new Ethiopian Democratic Republic government, and eleven years ago Ibrahim was able to pursue the coffee legacy his grandfather and father had begun.
He purchased 250 hectares of farmland in the Limu Genet region, 150 of which are used for coffee production, and named the farm “Burka Gudina” which means “where blessings grow.” In addition to maintaining his farm, Ibrahim is the vice president of the Coffee Exporters, Farmers, and Growers Association, and is responsible for helping the association’s 77 members develop their coffee quality and establish a market presence.
