How our roasters are dealing with Covid 19
We're navigating this together, we're all learning as we go. In a situation like this, where protocols and norms shift daily, even hourly, we are committed to taking the next right step, with the health and well-being of our staff and community as top priority.
It is in their best interest to close all of our coffeebar locations starting Tuesday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 31.
We look forward to serving you again soon and are available online for your coffee and home brew needs. We'll continue to adapt to the evolving situation with care and transparency, keeping you updated along the way As always, please reach out with any questions or feedback to email@example.com
We appreciate your support and understanding at this time.
Henry’s House of Coffee
As of now our cafe remains open with no changes to our store hours. My staff and I are taking extra steps to make sure we are doing all we can to keep the store clean and safe. In addition to our daily cleaning, we are thoroughly wiping down all door handles, milk pitcher handles, counter tops, and tables throughout the day.
If you are healthy, please stop by.
I have also signed up for COVID-19 text alerts with the city of San Francisco's Office Of Economic and Workforce Development. If you are interested, you can text the word COVID19SF to 888-777.
Should anything change we will send an update via email. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
I have asked my father to stay home for at least two weeks to be safe. He is doing well and is keeping himself busy with woodworking and finishing up long delayed "honey do" lists. I'm sure he will miss being at the store, but hopefully this is all temporary and he'll back roasting.
If you are taking part in social distancing, you can still purchase our coffee beans on our website. We typically roast and ship same day for orders placed before 1pm. Food items and all coffee drinks can also be delivered using DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.
My staff and I stand together and look forward to making your coffee experience the best and safest it can be. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
Square One Coffee
First and foremost, we wanted to say that we're right here with you during this strange and uncertain time.
Secondly, we wanted to keep you updated on our coffee roasting operation, which is going to remain open. We will be roasting and fulfilling your orders until further notice. However, we will be limiting our offerings slightly to accommodate everyone’s needs with minimal waste. Our available offerings are as follows:
- Brazil Fazenda Sertao
- Colombia for a Cause
- Guatemala Huehuetenango
- Sasquatch (dark roasted Nicaraguan)
- Nightcap (decaf Colombia)
- Dawn Chaser
- Candy Bar (can be used for drip or espresso)
- Thaddeus (can be used for drip or espresso)
- Your custom blend (if applicable)
Thirdly, as far as the sanitary practices at our roastery, we wanted to let you know...no, no, not the message you've had to read so many times (and write for your own businesses) over the last few days about increased sanitation measures. We're doing all of that recommended sanitation, but here are two unique pieces of information for you:
- Our roasting and packaging operation will be run by one to two healthy people, minimizing points of contact for them and for you.
- A week ago, we added a 'weigh & fill' machine with a loader that vacuums up the roasted coffee and weighs it out directly into our retail bags, which are placed onto a conveyor belt to move through a heat sealer; minimizing points of contact at every step.
None of us are completely sure what the future holds, but we know we're a part of one of the most gritty, creative and steadfast communities of people on the planet: small businesses. Thank you for your continued partnership with us.
