About Jhon Wilmer Cuellar of Colombia
Jhon Wilmer Cuellar is a third-generation coffee farmer from the lush hills of Acevedo, Huila, Colombia. For the past 15 years, he’s been tending his 10-hectare farm, Las Brisas, located at 1,500 meters above sea level. While he honors his family’s traditions, Jhon is also deeply curious—constantly experimenting with different coffee varieties and fermentation methods to bring out the best in each harvest.
Jhon’s approach to farming is grounded in sustainability. He avoids synthetic pesticides, enriches the soil with composted coffee husks and fruit byproducts, and grows shade trees like banana and cachingo among his coffee plants to promote biodiversity and soil health. But what he loves most is tasting: that moment when all the hard work comes together in the cup. His dedication to both innovation and care is what makes coffee from Las Brisas stand out.
