Coffee Description
Candied citrus and honeysuckle aromas lead into flavor notes of honeydew melon, orange, and lemonade. With a bright, honey-sweet acidity that is both caramelized and balanced, this complex, rounded cup presents gentle cardamom in the finish.

About Smallholder producers of Ethiopia
The Beriti washing station serves smallholder farmers in the Woreda (district) of Tore. This high-altitude micro region is giving rise to coffee that carries the clean brightness of quality Yirgacheffe offerings from the Gedeo zone. Ethiopian heirloom varieties cultivated by area farmers contribute complexity; paired with meticulous processing, the results is a coffee featuring creamy, floral notes and sweet, balanced acidity.
The Emiru family-owned company, METAD, purchases the coffees of local farmers who bring their daily harvests to Bereti mill. Working with METAD means they are able to take advantage of the company’s pre- and post-harvest training. Also, METAD re-invests a portion of profits back into their community, and sponsors more than 650 elementary school students to ensure they are able to receive an education.

PT's Coffee Roasting Co.
Topeka Kansas, 1993: an unlikely place and time for one of the most groundbreaking Direct Trade coffee companies in the world to be founded, but that's just what Fred Polzin and Jeff Taylor did. PT's Coffee Roasting Co.'s slogan is, "Without the love, it's just coffee.", and they certainly live up to it. (In fact, Jeff married a Colombian coffee pro, Maritza, now Director of Quality Control for PT's).
PT's Coffee Roasting Co. has won many awards, including Roast Magazine's 2009 "Roaster of the Year" and a 2012 Good Food Award medal. Building on a history so solid, PT's is pushing into the future of the coffee industry with promise and momentum.
