Coffee Description
This is our second year in a row to purchase this lovely lot of Pink Bourbon from Finca El Espejo, a 4 hectare farm managed by Reinel Borbon in the town of Santa Maria in Huila. We are captivated by the juicy mouthfeel and complex sugars present in this coffee and we’re finding notes of tropical and stone fruits with subtle florals integrated throughout the cup.

About Reinel Borbon of Colombia
Producer Reinel Bourbon has been growing coffee for over 15 years now, and has begun teaching his eldest son the ins-and-outs of his meticulous processing methods, in preparation of him taking over the family business one day. This lot started with the careful harvest of ripe coffee fruit and an initial 20-hour dry fermentation before being de-pulped. The coffee was then placed in open tanks for a second, 48-hour fermentation stage before being washed and dried on raised beds.
