About Nevado del Huila of Colombia
Taking its name from Colombia's highest volcano, Nevado del Huila is a communal lot sourced primarily from producers in the towns of Santa Maria and Pitalito in Northern and Southern Huila, respectively. These farms sit at elevations ranging from 1,600 to 1,900 meters above sea level and grow predominantly Caturra, Colombia and Castillo varieties. Each small lot that comprises this coffee undergoes a rigorous selection process, being evaluated multiple times before it can be selected as a final component. This meticulous approach ensures a level of quality and consistency that allows our roast profile to highlight the unique character of the coffees from this remarkable region.
