About Gerardo Arias of Costa Rica
Gerardo’s farm is extremely sentimental to him. It is a very remote and difficult area to get to, but the same place where he was born and raised with his 15 siblings. You read that right, his parents had 16 children! Today, Gerardo is the only member of the family that stayed in the area but finds it very gratifying since he started producing coffee there 20 years ago and later on processing their own coffee as of only 5 years ago.

Augie's Coffee
After purchasing Augie's with his father 11 years ago, owner Austin Amento has grown this California staple into the thriving, community-centric business it is today. Having met his wife and practically raising his children in the cafe, Austin has integrated Augie's into his whole life and thinks of coffee as the connecting piece that brings all people together.
In 2016 Austin was awarded the title of US Cup Taster's Champion, which is not the only thing his ambition has brought to life. Augie's owns three booming cafes in Redlands and Riverside, more than 50 employees, and a consistent list of thoughtfully sourced coffees.
