About Susana Hurtdao Inga of Peru
Susana Hurtdao Inga runs a tiny farm near the El Diamante village in San Jose de Lourdes on a very small 1.5 hectare parcel of land up between 1,800 and 1,900 meters above sea level. Her micro-farm is shaded by banana trees and other native fruits, allowing her coffee just the right conditions to grow to a splendidly juicy quality of Caturra. Susana and her family pick the majority of the coffee themselves before loading it onto a small boat to bring it down river, away from their secluded parcel of splendor to dry and process at her friend Roger Chilcon Flores’ facility. Her coffee has increased in quality year on year and we're stoked to be partnering with this female-owned farmer making exceptional coffee.
Production of this coffee is quite low and it tends to vary from harvest, and this year’s crop is absolutely exceptional.

Creature Coffee is a small-batch coffee roaster based in weird ol’ Austin, Texas. Born during the pandemic, they wanted to bring something fun into an otherwise not-so-fun year.
