Coffee Description
The terroir here, kissed by mountain breezes and shaded by native trees, gives the coffee its signature plush sweetness and refined acidity. The Durans’ innovative processing brings it all together, coaxing out flavors of grape juice, buckwheat honey, and a finish so layered it feels like a slow melody unfolding sip by sip.
Also, what makes this coffee even more special is this is a very rare and new varietal of the Arabica coffee species, called "Catigua MG2". It is a hybrid cross of the Timor & Catuai varietals. Crema.co doesn't even have it in their list of varietals yet. Creature is the first roaster to bring to this variety of coffee to you.

Creature Coffee is a small-batch coffee roaster based in weird ol’ Austin, Texas. Born during the pandemic, they wanted to bring something fun into an otherwise not-so-fun year. Sharing and introducing people to the best cup of coffee they’ve ever had makes them tick. The ah-ha moment is magical and the story behind their flavor trains is what fascinates and excites this passionate collection of coffee geeks the most. So Creature Coffee started with one mission in mind, to source and roast exceptional coffee while staying honest, approachable, and fun! In a non-traditional, Austin Weird kinda way, they live by their slogan - Let’s Be Friends.
