Coffee Description
This year we went with Calderon's natural processed version of the sought after Pink Bourbon variety. The result is clarity of flavor you get from the PB variety paired with a luscious tactile experience from the processing method. Chocolate covered berries through and through. It's like this coffee was made with all the fresh berries on hand and had a chocolate fondue party.

About Luis Calderon of Colombia
This natural pink bourbon comes to us through Luis Calderon from Huila, Colombia. This is the second time we have purchased Luis' coffee and this time it's a natural process. Last year we carried his washed pink bourbon coffee which was juicy, crisp, and fruit forward.

Five & Hoek
Five & Hoek, roasting since 2011, is focused on living life in community and connecting with others (or themselves with a good book) through coffees that tell stories. Their own story starts in India, where owners Tyler and Erich fell in love with the laid back culture experienced in tea gardens (and rickshaw rides), and brought back a desire to share that experience through the avenue of coffee and community.
Five & Hoek opened their Wheaton cafe in 2014, and are expanding to put both cafe and roastery under the same roof in 2019, where they will continue to source and roast both approachable and experimental coffees. They serve delicious coffee and inspire community through local customers and producers partners as they live out their tagline, “Coffee / Connection / Community.
