Coffee Description
Coming to us from our importing partners at Ventola Coffee, this coffee is delicate, sweet, and floral. When warm, El Roble has sweet and soft citric qualities, reminiscent of ripe plum and orange blossom honey. As it cools, you’ll be met with a bright yet refreshing acidity, reminding us of rooibos tea and lemonade. We love the El Roble for its juicy body and pronounced sweetness, we hope you will too.

About Albeiro Ramirez of Colombia
Already situated 2,000 meters above sea level, El Roble also benefits from the unique microclimate of the Penderisco river valley which is created by ocean winds and the surrounding mountains. This region is also the home of the Chiroso varietal of which Albeiro planted trees in 2015. While, based on tree age, the plantation is young, Albeiro’s experience and commitment make this lot one not to miss.
Although there is certainly room for expansion at El Roble, Albeiro does not plan to plant more trees any time soon. With the lack of workers during the harvesting season and the cost of adapting his drying facilities to accommodate more coffee, he prefers to concentrate on quality over quantity. He will proudly share with you that he has participated in the Cup of Excellence competition for the last two years. However, what would ultimately make Albeiro the proudest, is his grandson taking over El Roble one day.

Junto Coffee
The dream of long-time coffee professional, Alex Medina, Junto opened its doors in February of 2019. We’re a minority owned company that focuses on both providing intentionally sourced, exceptional products and working with importers and exporters that pay producers a premium for their coffees.
Our founder’s experience in coffee importing has compounded our understanding of the importance of building long-term relationships with producers to guarantee our continued support and ambassadorship of their coffee. Our goal is to cultivate both existing relationships and build new ones with regions that are underrepresented because we know how important it is for all producers to be able to sell their coffees.
Junto was founded with the belief that coffee has the unique ability to bind folx of vastly different origins and creeds. We are driven to honor that by roasting to highlight the inherent qualities of each remarkable coffee and continually creating space for shared experiences and common purpose.
