Coffee Description
A unique offering at this roast level, this version of our Balinese ‘Kintamani’ is roasted specifically to shine as espresso. With flavor notes of strawberry, rhubarb, clove, and cedar - Balinese ‘Kintamani’ has a big body, but also has some beautifully delicate characteristics, which is very rare for the region.

About Subak Abians of Indonesia
Balinese producers continue to maintain a traditional rural lifestyle organized around a Subak Abian, which is a reference to the ecologically sustainable irrigation systems developed more than 1,000 years ago by Hindu priests who practice Tri Hita Karana (the three sources of prosperity), a philosophy focused on the harmonization between the environment, humans, and God. These traditions are followed in coffee cultivation, which means pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are never used. Finally, it’s worth mentioning that while we do focus on roasting this for espresso, it’s really great prepared with any brewing method.

Noble Coffee Roasting
Eight-time Good Food Award winner (and ten-time finalist) Noble Coffee Roasting began, as many successful roasting companies do, in the garage of husband-wife team Jared and Carolyn Rennie, way back in 2007. Named after Jared's grandfather, Noble Duke, within two years Noble Coffee had moved to its current roastery/café location just off 4th street in the quirky, charming town of Ashland Oregon.
"We believe that amazing coffee starts by sourcing the highest quality green coffees from organic farms and cooperatives, continues in the crafting of coffees with great attention upon roasting, and ends in the fine details of brewing. We are fully devoted to this process."
