Coffee Description
Dark chocolate, cherry, and orange zest are apparent in the cup with a rustic bread and clove aftertaste. Medium bodied with a bright citrus acidity, this balanced coffee presents cherry and lime with notes of chocolate and caramel and a hint of spiced coffeecake in the finish.

About Bernardo Solano of Guatemala
In a world where land has been cultivated for millennia, it isn’t often that you find virgin soil, but such is the case with Finca Concepcion Buena Vista. Here warm winds sweep off the Motagua River to bathe coffee trees in their own little micro-climate and natural spring water satisfies thirsty roots.
Bernardo Solano is the third generation of his family to be producing coffee, working by his grandfather until he went away to school to earn a degree in agronomy. Upon his return from New York in 1988, Bernardo took charge of the 21 hectares his father gave him. Since then, his farm has grown to 100 hectares. In his quest to produce quality coffee, he works for sustainability, seeking to decrease the use of chemicals and pressing for environmental conservation.
Bernardo says,
"We care about the environment and quality. Everything that we are doing at the farm is focused on protecting the environment as much as we can and producing high quality coffee."
