Fragrant. Elegant. Balanced. The descriptors keep piling up for this coffee featuring the classic Nariño terroir: sweet chocolate, caramelized honey, stone and citrus fruits. Tangerine and grape team up for a sweet, clean acidity. Fruity, slightly creamy in body, caramel, toasted nuts, and chocolate intensify as the cup cools, with honey and nougat in the finish.

About Aura Elisa Nupan of Colombia
Aura Elisa Nupan grows heirloom Caturra coffee high in the misty mountains of the Nariño region. Here the rugged terrain and scarcity of paved roads lend a sense of epic survival to the process of cultivating, harvesting, and processing coffee. This high up and so close to the equator, rain is a fact of life. But rain complicates the coffee-drying aspect. So at Finca Aura Elisa Nupan, after washing, the coffee is dried on raised beds under a parabolic cover. This meticulous, slower drying process can increase the vibrancy of the beans, so in the end, it’s all good, as they say.
At 3 hectares, Aura Elisa Nupan's farm is typical of the smaller farms in the Nariño region, which has been less connected to the international coffee market due to its lack of infrastructure and accessibility. However, the intense fragrance and flavor of this region is commanding notice in COE competitions, on cupping tables at origin, and in the cups of coffee lovers world-wide.
