Bright, sweet acidity up front with a velvety body and tea black in the finish, it’s a classic southern Ethiopian offering and sweet from start to finish.

About Smallholder producers of Ethiopia
“The road south out of Addis Ababa leads straight to coffee country.” Thus says importer, Keffa Coffee, and so it is. In this history-rich, coffee-rich country we find the Guji zone where the Rift Valley meets the Bale Mountains and coffee flourishes. Farms range from 1 to 20 hectares in size. Here banana and mango trees shade the coffee as it grow, imparting a certain fruitiness to the soil that enhances flavors in the beans.
Thousands of smallholder farmers bring their ripe cherries to central washing stations to be processed. They’re proud of their high-quality, sweet, clean coffee, and of their culture. In this area, the people have been electing their leader and local representatives by a centuries-old indigenous democratic system referred to as Gadaa.
