About Agaseke, Kopakaki Cooperative of Rwanda

This coffee comes to us from the lush volcanic highlands of Karongi in the Western Province of Rwanda. It was grown by a collective of women farmers, the Agaseke group, along the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu. Agaseke, a subgroup of the Kopakaki Cooperative, has almost 100 female members and its numbers are growing. To become a member, a farmer has to meet and maintain strict quality control standards. Their coffee trees have to be carefully cultivated and kept in top health.
