Coffee Description
Sweet, silky, and clean, with brilliant, juicy acidity, this coffee possesses all the wildness of a geisha, but with more complete tactile roundness and balance. Look for fragrances of vanilla bean, watermelon, and nectarine paired with flavor notes of cherry syrup, coconut and lime.

About Aidé Garro of Colombia
Aidé Garro produces 40 bags of coffee annually on her farm, Buena Vista. A member of Cooperativa de Caficultores de Salgar (Coocafisa), she processes and then dries her own beans on site. Out of those 40 bags, 6 come from what appears to be a recent and apparently endemic (unique to a geographic area) variety of coffee, Caturra chiroso.
Still not formally identified or cataloged, speculation from exporter, Pergamino, is that chiroso is an older, heirloom version of Caturra. Its distinctive beans are thin and elongated, much like those of the geisha cultivar, but more pointed and plumper—almost in the shape of a football. This lot of Aidé’s is a perfect representation of the chiroso profile.
