Coffee Description
This wonderfully adaptable coffee yields a cup full of crisp apple, deep rich berry, and caramelized sugar notes. Up front, a smooth, creamy body joins piquant, well-integrated acidity while hints of honeyed granola and toasted almonds transition to a tart dried-cherry finish.

About Higinio Gomez of Guatemala
Finca Las Moritas, nestled high in the Sierra de Las Minas mountains, is in the capable and creative hands of owner/producers Don Higinio Gomez and his wife Doña Aura. Don Higinio delivers his ripe cherries to the Nueva Esperanza mill in Antigua where they undergo careful fermentation, both aerobic and anaerobic, and 15-20 days controlled drying--an innovative process called the “double double.”
Not only does he care about the quality of his own coffee, Don Higinio is an advocate for Guatemalan coffee and leads an organization of neighboring producers who together are seeking to improve the quality of coffee being produced throughout the region.

Partners Coffee
Founded in 2012, their incredibly passionate team is based out of Brooklyn, New York. As roasters and baristas, they believe that ensuring their trade in coffee has beneficial effects for everyone involved, from the farm to the cafe. Throughout the year, their green coffee buyer travels to origin to meet growers and cooperatives, and chooses the highest quality products from people who respect their land and workers. Partners uses direct farm relationships wherever possible, establishing ones built on trust, traceability, and fair prices.
Their name reflects their collaborative nature and celebrates the many partners they have in the coffee world. Every aspect of Partners is built upon the idea that we are only as great as the sum of our partners.
