Coffee Description
This coffee launches with fragrances of toffee, graham cracker, and Asian Pear. In the cup, soft ripples of red plum and vanilla grape swirl with dark chocolate, almond, and fig. Velvet body pairs with super sweet acidity. It's a clean, serene, and eminently comforting cup of amazingness.

About Rutas Del Incas Cooperative of Peru
There is remote, and then there is really remote. Smallholder farmers that make up the Rutas Del Inca Cooperative are of the latter variety. This isolation works to their advantage in terms of coffee quality, however, since there is no mixing or blending with neighboring regions. Again, because of the remoteness, most members process their coffee on their individual farms before bringing them to be milled at Planta Frontera, a centralized milling plant in Chiclayo.
In addition to focusing on specialty coffee, Rutas Del Inca’s members also cultivate passion fruit, corn, and sugarcane, as shade sources for coffee, to increase biodiversity and soil health, and provide an extra source of food or income. For the same reason, many members also raise cows, chickens and pigs.

Upper Left Roasters
In the summer of 2015, Katherine Harris opened Upper Left Roasters in historic Ladd's Addition. As the daughter of Portland food and beverage veterans, Katherine was driven to create not just another cafe but a vibrant community hub. In collaboration with local makers and creatives our thoughtfully designed space came to life — serving a fresh, curated food menu paired with distinctive small-batch roasts. From the literal cornerstone of our neighborhood, our team aims to create an energetic and lively space not just within our SE Portland community but in the industry at large.
We take that same ethos of community-based experience to all the coffees we serve. From house blends to unique micro-lots, we aim to represent the authentic flavor, origin and journey in every roast. Our coffees and the people who create them—from seed to cup—make it all possible. We focus on putting people first and invite our partners & patrons to join us in doing the same - supporting and celebrating community through coffee.
