The District of Querocoto is one of the nineteen districts that make up the Province of Chota , located in the Department of Cajamarca, under the administration of the Regional Government of Cajamarca, in northern Peru . It is bordered to the north by the District of Querocotillo (Province of Cutervo); to the east by the Province of Cutervo ; to the south by the districts of Huambos and Llama ; and to the west by the District of Miracosta.
It has a dry climate, varied in winter, it never snows, in summer it is hot but in the shade it is cold.
Its capital is the town of Querocoto, located at 2426 m above sea level.
