About Karimikui Washing Station of Kenya
Karimikui is part of the Rung'eto Cooperative society together with Kii and Kiangoi. The factory has 2200 active members whose land average is 0.1 hectares. The predominant variety within the region is SL28, SL34 and Batian. These small scale farms lie in Gituba and Kithure villages that are within an altitude of 1600 to 1700m above sea level. Most of these farmers grow tea as well within the same farms and also keep livestock that produce milk and eggs for subsistence use, the organic manure from the livestock is used in the coffee farms.

Mad Priest Coffee
To curious people who are sick of the bland, corporate & “heretical” coffee experience, Mad Priest Coffee Roasters is the unconventional, creative, “sacred” coffee choice. While we may sometimes be irreverent, we always take our coffee and our mission seriously. That’s because we are mad about injustice, especially societal inequality...and bad coffee.
Mad Priest Coffee Roasters began in 2015 as a small-batch specialty coffee roasting company + a social enterprise with the mission to “craft excellent coffee, educate the curious, champion the displaced” and we currently operate our roastery and retail locations in Chattanooga, TN. From the beginning, our goal has been to run a sustainable, for-profit business with a triple bottom line that includes social and environmental goals alongside the economic ones. And most of all, we want to create the best product that wins awards -- and make that product accessible to curious people from every race and culture.
Get Mad. Stay Blessed.
