Coffee Description
This is the first coffee PERC has sourced from China. The quality and unique cup profile of this lot blew us away. It’s an incredibly sweet cup with a unique plum and cherry acidity. Baking spices, chocolate, and a subtle licorice/herbal quality round out the finish. We're stoked to partner with the folks at Torch Coffee and Lao Xu Zhai on this truly unique coffee.

About Lao Zu Xhai Village Station of China
Lao Xu Zhai Village is in the Yunnan Province in southwestern China. Yunnan’s mountainous landscape, rich volcanic soil, and subtropical climate provide the ideal conditions to grow tasty coffee. This particular lot is a naturally processed Catimor. At Lao Zu Xhai, a new processing station, nursery, and folks sharing information about experiments in plant nutrition and harvesting have rapidly increased quality and consistency.

PERC
In 2010, Philip Brown started Panther's Eye Roasting Co with the mission to share good times and awesome coffee. With a roaster, a bicycle, and loud tunes, Philip began building a brand one bag at a time. Soon he realized two things: the name needed to be shorter and he needed to partner with some awesome folks to help grow the company. PERC Coffee grew through community, authenticity, hard work, and the curiosity to blaze new trails.
