About Multiple of Ethiopia
This coffee is a Gori Gesha variety, named after the location it comes from- Gori Gesha Forest. This location is less elevated than other common areas such as Yirgacheffe or Guji- at just 1400-1684 masl and is very warm in climate by comparison. The Gori Gesha variety is one of the oldest coffee varieties to ever exist. This farm was established in 2019 and is growing in popularity year over year. The total productive area this year was 150 hectares and coffee was processed as anaerobic, lactic, honey, natural, carbonic, or washed.
For the carbonic processing; cherries spend 96 hours in a barrel and then placed on African drying beds for 16 days. The manager of the mill has collected data for multiple years to understand how cherries from this area react and how long they should be dried for- which is why each year the coffee has been gaining more and more attention for quality.
