Coffee Description

Citrus, sweet herb, and milk chocolate fragrances lead into flavors of dried cherry, vanilla, and more milk chocolate. Browned butter and caramelized orange surface as it cools, with tangy cranberry and lime zest acidity. This coffee is sweet, silky, complex. And delicious!

About Smallholder producers of Colombia

In the Huila region of Colombia, an average coffee grower has about 1.5 hectares of land and produces around 50 bags of coffee annually. Every Saturday during harvest season, he or she will bring in the current pick--maybe 10 bags worth--to be sold as best they can. Many times, these growers are barely able to break even, despite all their hard work.

That’s why specialty coffee importer Cafe Imports has masterminded an exciting new project. They pay premiums for these farmers’ coffees based on cup scores, then bulk the lots together to make full containers of delicious, rich chocolatey Colombian coffee under the Gran Galope blend label. The farmers fare better and coffee lovers the world over get to enjoy their careful labor. Gran Galope--Full Gallop. Grab a cup and gallop proudly into your day!

Square One Coffee

Since 2007, Square One Coffee has become a nationally known name in specialty coffee, wholesaling to quality-focused shops up and down the east coast, and opening two retail locations in Philadelphia (2012 & 2014). Owners Josh and Jess Steffy and their talented team of coffee professionals take their passion for people and coffee seriously. This means partnering with coffee producers and communities, paying premium prices for their hard work and reinvesting into those communities whenever possible. It also means paying all of their employees a living wage with opportunities to learn and grow in their craft.
